About Us

People

Hassie & Jo purchased the business of Nullarbor Traveller in March 2004 but our involvement with Nullarbor Traveller goes back further as the tour stopped at our accommodation facility Coodlie Park Farm Retreat on the Eyre Peninsula from 2002.

The tour still stops at our property and it gives us first hand involvement with each tour and each passenger as we share a meal and later in the evening, we do a nocturnal wildlife tour - looking for and learning about Australia’s national Emblems wombats, kangaroos and emus!

Your guide

The tour guide is a very important part of any tour and our guides are chosen very carefully. They must have all the skills to conduct an extended tour in a professional manner and to make sure every passenger has a great time.

It is also important that as a tour guide, they are able to share their experiences with the passengers – Nullarbor Traveller prides itself on being a personalised tour operation.

It is also important that the tour guides are passionate about this unique part of Australia. On the trips commentary is offered in a relaxed way and on a wide range of topics. Early pioneers and Aboriginal history is intermingled with natural history of the regions travelled through, as well as conservation of the different environments. We encourage passengers to be mindful of both the natural and cultural heritage of these precious regions.

History

The history of Nullarbor Traveller dates back some 14 years and was originally called the ‘Transcontinental’  - and was a part of the Wayward Bus Tours. Kat and Andy then changed the name of the business and developed Nullarbor Traveller into a unique Australian  experience.

Since 2004, the Nullarbor Team have looked to build on the solid foundations of the business and add more experiences and more opportunities. In fact on two of our tours you can now do three of the top wildlife experiences in Australia on one tour!

We look forward to providing you with a swag of memorable experiences on this unique, authentic and truly Australian adventure....

See you soon
